Purpose and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, disclosed and protected when a person visits solinfo.shop, creates or uses an account, places an order, contacts customer service, subscribes to marketing or otherwise interacts with the store. solinfo.shop is the commercial website name used for these activities. Privacy requests may be sent to info@solinfo.shop.
The legal identity and address of the data controller must match the merchant’s true registered details and must appear in the Legal Notice before the website is published. A domain name and email address alone do not satisfy that disclosure requirement. We do not invent those details in this policy.
Personal data we collect
Identity and contact data, such as name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address.
Order and transaction data, including purchased products, order value, payment status, refunds, returns and customer-service history.
Payment-related data handled by payment providers. solinfo.shop generally receives payment confirmation, method type and limited transaction identifiers rather than complete card credentials.
Device and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring pages, session events and security logs.
Preference and marketing data, such as consent choices, subscriptions and responses to communications.
Information supplied voluntarily in emails, reviews, forms or support requests.
How and why we use personal data
We process personal data only where an appropriate legal basis applies. Contractual necessity supports order processing, payment administration, delivery, returns and customer support. Legal obligations support accounting, tax, product-safety, fraud-prevention and consumer-law records. Legitimate interests may support website security, service improvement, limited analytics, business administration and the establishment or defence of legal claims, after considering the individual’s rights. Consent is used where required for non-essential cookies and certain electronic marketing.
Shopify and service providers
The store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify and related companies provide the ecommerce platform and may process personal data to operate, secure and improve the service in accordance with their own contractual and privacy terms. We may also use payment processors, fraud-prevention services, fulfilment partners, carriers, hosting and technical providers, analytics providers, customer-support systems, professional advisers and authorities where disclosure is necessary and lawful.
Service providers receive only data reasonably necessary for their role and are expected to protect it. We do not sell personal data for money. Advertising or analytics technologies may involve sharing identifiers or activity data; where French or EU law requires consent, those technologies should remain disabled until consent is given.
International data transfers
Some providers may process data outside France or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard, together with supplementary measures where appropriate. Information about applicable safeguards may be requested at info@solinfo.shop, subject to protection of confidential and security information.
Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary cookies may be used to provide core functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, authentication, fraud prevention and security. Non-essential analytics, personalisation or advertising cookies require prior consent where applicable. The consent interface should allow a user to accept or refuse non-essential cookies with comparable ease and to withdraw consent later. Browser settings may also block cookies, although doing so can affect site functions.
Marketing communications
We send electronic marketing where permitted by law and, where required, after obtaining valid consent. Each marketing email includes an unsubscribe method. A person may also object at any time by emailing info@solinfo.shop. Transactional communications about orders, security or customer service are not marketing and may still be sent when necessary.
Data retention
Personal data is not kept indefinitely. Order, invoice and accounting records are retained for periods required by French tax, accounting and commercial law. Support and dispute records are retained for the time reasonably necessary to resolve the matter and protect legal rights. Marketing data is kept until consent is withdrawn, an objection is made or the applicable retention period expires. Security logs and cookie identifiers are retained for proportionate periods based on their purpose. Data is deleted, anonymised or securely archived when no longer required.
Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal data against accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. No online system is completely secure. Customers should use unique passwords, protect account credentials and contact info@solinfo.shop if they suspect unauthorised activity.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR and French data-protection law, individuals may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and, where applicable, objection to processing. Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. A person may also provide instructions concerning personal data after death where French law permits.
Send a request to info@solinfo.shop. We may request proportionate information to verify identity and protect the account. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions for complex or numerous requests. Individuals may lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) through cnil.fr if they believe their rights have not been respected.
Children
solinfo.shop is not directed to children and does not knowingly seek personal data from children who cannot lawfully provide it. If a parent or guardian believes a child has supplied data improperly, they should contact info@solinfo.shop.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The revised effective date will be displayed. Material changes will be communicated through the website or another appropriate method where required.
